Gary J. Follin Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements & Application Instructions

Financial Builders is pleased to announce the gift of 1-$1000.00 scholarships this year to be given to a high school senior student. One Gary J. Follin Memorial Scholarship will be awarded for each calendar year.

Applicants for such grants must be college bound senior students. Immediate family members of Financial Builders employees are exempt from obtaining the scholarship. Selections and awards will be based on applicant needs and available funds. Applicants must present appropriate proof of need. Applicants are also selected on the basis of academic achievement and community involvement.

Complete applications must include the following:

• A completed application form including applicant's and a parent's or guardian's signature
• High School transcripts
• Proof of acceptance/attendance to a credited college or university
• Any additional information to aid the Scholarship Committee in the selection process.

The Gary J. Follin Memorial Scholarship committee will consist of the Financial Builders Board and one appointed Financial Builders management staff member. The committee will select the scholarship recipient and notify them promptly.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicant must be a high school senior
• The scholarship will be used for the purpose of study at an accredited college or university.
• Scholarship funds will be paid to the school of the recipient's choice when evidence of enrollment is presented to Financial Builders.
• Complete application form including applicant's and a parent's or guardian's signature
• High School Transcripts/Proof of acceptance to a credited college or university.
• A scholarship application must be completed which includes two (2) letters of recommendation and a grade transcript and returned to Financial Builders by April 30, 2011.

To Apply, print the application, complete it and return it to the credit union. You will need the adobe acrobat reader program to view and/or print the application. If you do not have adobe acrobat reader installed on your computer, you may obtain a copy of the application at the credit union.
