”We found out we didn’t even know how to set up a vacation savings but we just didn’t take the time to ask we put on the back burner, thinking this will be to complicated, we will have to fill out a bunch of forms, but to our surprise it was hardly any process to it at all our credit union made it easy for us to switch everything to them we now even have a Christmas Club.   We now understand how interest works, we had some knowledge but not enough to have it work for us.  We were very trusting and believed every one had our best interest at heart now we are reading the fine print. We are educated but financial education is not taught in schools.  We are finding this is a great opportunity to pass what we are learning to our children, one example is not just going out and buying the newest video game but instead talking to our son how much it costs and what he can to do to earn and save for this.  We want to set up college funds for kids.  We just learned how to make the most of our tax return dollars.  Our coach is a great motivator for us, she taught us simple things like get on budget to save on our utilities bills, internet service our phone and once we take the step and accomplish one item at a time it gives us confidence that we can do this.
